I don't judge every children's book through some sociopolitical lens, but this story of an unhappy desperate-for-attention cat creature trying to gain acceptance from two naive children is pretty average at best。 The end solution is that the pathetic animal doesn't belong on display behind bars, but rather displaying his freakish talents for gawking yokels。 Is it the worst children's book ever? Not at all。 But it's not special。 I don't judge every children's book through some sociopolitical lens, but this story of an unhappy desperate-for-attention cat creature trying to gain acceptance from two naive children is pretty average at best。 The end solution is that the pathetic animal doesn't belong on display behind bars, but rather displaying his freakish talents for gawking yokels。 Is it the worst children's book ever? A polka-dot leopard tries convincing children his unique coat and dots make him worthy for zoo。 Wonderful fable about asserting self-worth。

Another Dr。 Seuss。 Enjoyable read! A sweet book that focuses on the zoo and is helpful for learning the letter Z。 The children thoroughly enjoyed。

(4☆ Would recommend)Dr。 Seuss books are great for learning, since they have such colorful pages, engaging pictures, and rhyme。 Kids love them。

The shortened board-book version of this is better than the original for reading out loud to your kids。

It's so fun to read a book to your children that you loved as a child。 This is a fun book to learn colors (though orange is a little off in this book)。 Also it's a great book to discuss the concept any person will not be a perfect fit for every place。 It's so fun to read a book to your children that you loved as a child。 This is a fun book to learn colors (though orange is a little off in this book)。 Also it's a great book to discuss the concept any person will not be a perfect fit for every place。 。。。more

This book was one of my kids favorite books growing up。 The colors are vivid。 The children characters are endearing。 You will have a lot of fun sharing this book with your child!

Funny。 Love the pictures and the story。 Kind of like a Dr Seuss book but written different and without the kind of words that Dr Seuss would use。 I highly recommend it 。。。。。 especially if you are into and love Dr Seuss。

This is a great book to read to young readers。 It introduces colors, it has a good rhythm to it which allows you to act out the same movements as the main character, Spot。 It also teaches a great lesson that there is a place for everyone in this world。
